Welcome to the “Underground” surf school in Tenerife, where we aim to provide you with the most fulfilling surfing experience. Of course, we also hope to infect you with our dedication and passion for this sport — and lifestyle!
Taking place at the breathtaking playa las Americas, our group surf classes last 2 hours each. They are designed for families and friend groups but can also be a unique team-building exercise for you and your colleagues. Closed for your group only, the private group classes require a minimum of 3 people to be held.
Planned for newbies and experienced surfers alike
Our group surf classes, planned for newbies and experienced surfers alike, provide you with everything you need to hit the waves as soon as you make it to Tenerife: A board for your weight and height, neoprene, booties, lycra, and accident insurance. The price also includes a secure locker for your belongings as well as a clean, hot shower that will be waiting for you to complete your surf classes and return from the playa las Americas beach.
The surfing adventure begins upon your arrival
Your Underground surfing adventure begins upon your arrival at our school — with a smile you deserve and a conversation about your past experiences with surfing and other sports. The idea is to learn more about you so that we can find the most suitable equipment for you.
We ensure a better and more personal learning experience
Once we find the fitting wetsuits, lycra and booties for your group, we’ll be ready, to begin with, the theoretical part of the class and explore the fundamentals of basic technique and behaviour in water. Although the Surf Federation recommends up to 8 people per group, our group surf classes are designed for no more than 6 people, ensuring a better and more personal learning experience.
After theory, you’ll learn about basic safety and practice positioning on the board, paddling, and standing up. Then we’ll hit the playa las Americas beach, which is only a few meters away from our surf school, and warm up before entering the water.
Our instructor will guide your group throughout the class and ensure that everyone is learning and having a wonderful, unforgettable experience. Once the class ends, we’ll leave this incredible Tenerife beach to go back to the surf school and hit the steaming hot showers, which will leave you feeling like you’ve just been reborn!
